Nashville Metro Social Services

Volunteers and organizers from Nashville Metro Social Services teamed up with Kroger to donate Thanksgiving dinners to families experiencing hard times including sickness, death, or lack of income. NMSS contacted A.M. Photography to capture the second annual Thanksgiving dinner delivery, along with a lot of smiles.

I spent the day capturing smiles, tears and shock. At times witnessing terrible living conditions such as a mailbox that had been pierced by a bullet only inches from the front door and windows of the apartment and vehicles with windows shot out only feet from a unit where two preschool children lived.

This day opened my eyes to see what many families must endure that most people never hear about.
